Surprises come in small packages

This tiny pair of baby girls certainly were a surprise to their mum and dad who’d decided that three kids would do them! Personally I take my hat off to any mother raising more than three children but five elevates her to SuperMum status without a doubt. Enjoy your sneak preview, lovely family! It was such a pleasure to meet you all and thank you for making me feel so welcome in your home today.

Spring blossoms, new trampoline and the birthday boy

In reverse order

Starting with my small one, who turned four last week (’I'm not small, I’m a big boy!!’ he says indignantly).

bouncing on the new trampoline, finally purchased…in large part as an attraction for his birthday party on the weekend, from which I am still recovering….we had close to 30 little kids at the party! At one stage there were at least 8 kids on the tramp. All efforts to limit the number bouncing at any one time pretty much failed.

The next morning as I peeked at the back yard to assess the post-party damage, I noticed sunlight falling on these blossoms, against a dark stormy sky and it was simply the prettiest thing…I do love the beauty of transition to a new season.

Friends

My life is full of good, dear friends…not too many, just enough. They are so precious to me and we have strong bonds. There are some that I don’t see as often as others and that’s okay…because when we do see each other there’s so much to catch up on…yet it feels as though we were together only yesterday. Recently I caught up with a lovely friend, mama to this gorgeous blue-eyed boy. How I’m loving watching him grow!
