Long summer days

It’s almost the end of the summer holidays. School will start next week, and kinder. My oldest boy Alex starts in prep this year. *Sigh* There’s bound to be tears on the first day! It’s been a lovely January, home every day with the kids. I took lots of photos of my boys. Here are just a few. Okay I admit it, it’s more than a few.

Looking forward to school

Five years old…very happy in her brand new school uniform, wearing it in before school starts in a couple of weeks. She will be in the same classroom as my Alex, who is equally excited about starting school and would probably sleep in his uniform if I let him.

Cute as a button

The late afternoon light was magical for my session today with this adorable 14 month old boy. We had a great time playing and exploring around the Museum and nearby gardens. I couldn’t have asked for more… great weather, fabulous spots for photos, and of course a sweet little guy with the most amazing eyes.

After a while we went searching for some grass and trees…we found some…but we also found water. This did not work in our favour….the little one felt very sure that it was time for a dip. So back we went to the Museum.

Cuteness alert!

I had such a lovely time photographing this dear little chap with enormous brown eyes that could melt your heart. He is 20 months old, and as usual for this age he was a very busy little man (and fast!), but he still had lots of smiles and giggles for me.

Cuddles and smiles

This gorgeous babe was so very cuddly, I had to keep reminding myself I was there to take pictures and then reluctantly hand him back to his mama - gosh he was sweet! He is three weeks old and very very alert (when he wasn’t napping ). I also saw lots of smiles which were definitely not gas - just look at this wonderful eye contact I got!
